Mosaic Wave
Spaces rooted in identity, culture, and collective experience. Events, travel, and community designed to help you grow, reconnect, and build the network that changes your life
Community isn't a perk at BNE, it's the strategy. We believe the people you're around shape the professional you become. So we build rooms where that happens on purpose.
BNE's community experience series is a collection of curated events designed to connect emerging professionals in the KC metro through honest conversation, shared experience, and the kind of energy that follows you home.

BNE Events
The Sitting Room
Expert Speaker Series
An intimate evening with a practitioner, leader, or creative doing meaningful work. Small room. Real conversation. No keynote energy — just an honest exchange about what it actually takes.
Who it's for: Emerging professionals who want to be in the room with people worth learning from.
The Common Room
Community Gathering
A larger, more social experience for the BNE community to connect, celebrate, and grow together. Think intentional networking with actual energy — curated conversation prompts, shared experiences, and people who show up because they want to, not because they have to.
Who it's for: Anyone in the KC emerging professional community looking for a genuine connection.
The Unseen Table
Intimate Facilitated Dinner
Eight to twelve people. One table. One guided conversation about something that actually matters. The Unseen Table is BNE's most intimate experience — designed for depth over breadth and real relationship over surface-level connection.
Who it's for: Professionals ready for a different kind of conversation.
BNE Tennis Club
Twice-Monthly Community Meetup
Not everything has to be a workshop. The BNE Tennis Club is a recurring meetup for the KC community to play, connect, and be. On and off the court. All skill levels welcome.

Why Tennis?
Beyond Normal Tennis Club
A community-centered wellness initiative using tennis as a tool for exposure, confidence-building, mental health, and collective growth. Designed for beginners and first-time players, the club emphasizes access, discipline, and belonging over competition.
The Beyond Normal Tennis Club expands our Community & Culture pillar by introducing people to nontraditional spaces that support wellness, discipline, and exposure. Tennis is used as a vehicle to build confidence, emotional regulation, focus, and a sense of belonging—skills that translate into academic, career, and personal success. This initiative helps break down perceived barriers to access while fostering community, health, and leadership development.
